Gee, no new journal in over 2 months?
Time to change this.
First here goes a feature, I now have my own fan-club... err, group-thingy!
...he couldn't have picked a better preview image.
Well! Toda... err, yesterday was the 4th aniversary of my first walking steps with a trial of Flash (wow, this long already
Back then, that basically was just a test to try out all functions of Flash, but also included crappily drawn hedgehog-characters already.
You can see the progress I made (err or something), and a sneak peak on a few possible future projects here: [link] (don't forget to click the tiny arrow in the lower right corner for the other pages!)
Speaking of teh future:
In 2007, I brought you the surprise hit "A rAndom tribute to Roger van der Weide".
In 2008, I brought you the massive Zelda the Twilight Zone.
In 2009, I brought you the 8-months-production-time Sonic Billiard Adventure.
In 2010 ... I'm gonna finish my Diploma thesis that I'm already working on, and hopefully get a job.
In my freetime, I'm mostly doing small things for now (drawings etc.), though there's one or two other BIG projects I don't wanna mention right now, and I don't know if that'll go up on dA or youtube anyway... :/
Well, okay, there's one big project for you guys, the "Sonic: HACKED"-Compilation
Featuring hacked game scenarios from various Sonic games such as: Sonic Adventure 1, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Advance 2... I remember I started this back in '08, and later on came back to it last year to add a hell lot of new material, ... and now I've come back to it once again for some actual editing.
Geez, haven't finished another hacking movie since 2008 (Probably because right after finishing the last one I started working on [link] (the next big project) ... which took almost a year to complete. )
Though I can't tell how good it'll be, since I'm still sorting out the material... there's a lot of just plain silly stuff in there, too (not funny silly, just silly-silly.), but perhaps some nice joke or editing can save those scenes. That already worked in Zelda the Twilight Zone, apparently people like some of those scenes better than I do myself!
Actually, it's still roughly 3 hours of material (out of 9 hours 45 min originally) to sort out and compress (including multiple takes of cause, too) and edit into an actually interesting movie, that doesn't constantly repeat the same concept over and over using different scenes.(There's just too many different good takes for Shadow to "do the matrix" sort of stuff. )
As of right now I'm working on a small (medium?) project, "loading Reality"... not the typical video/animation I do, it's gonna be about mixing reality and virtual reality as we know it from computers or videogames, using photo-manipulation.
And on that note, I'm gonna end this journal before it gets too long. ^^
