Basically, in contrast to other ponies, Pinkie Pie can defy the law of physics at will, and has the ability to mess with the "4th wall". (Which means a cartoon character is aware that they're in a comic/cartoon.)
This is widely explored in the fandom, but it's actually canon in the show itself, if at least to a degree.
(Pinkie adressing the audience directly, for instance)
